Shawn’s journey started long before coaching. Since 1996, he’s been working with people — first through life skills and personal development, and later as a teacher, trainer, and team-building facilitator. He’s taught thousands of learners and led hundreds of teams, always with one mission: help people grow and perform at their best.

After completing his Honours in Tourism, he entered the classroom full-time — not just teaching but also building and implementing full curriculums. Along the way, he dabbled in entrepreneurship, running ventures in tourism and mining supplies. These hands-on experiences — the wins, the failures, and the lessons in between — gave him a grounded, no-nonsense approach to business.

In 2020, Shawn became a certified Business Coach, and in 2025, he partnered with ActionCOACH to take his impact even further. Since then, he’s helped business owners across South Africa grow profits, lead their teams better, and make sharper business decisions. He doesn’t just coach from a textbook — he coaches from the trenches.

Shawn doesn’t claim to know every industry inside out — instead, he asks the questions that matter until he does. His approach is simple: help businesses run better, grow stronger, and play their part in moving the South African economy forward.
